With the goal of forming a competent and well-equipped responders, the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council IX through the Office of the Civil Defense IX in partnership with the City Government of Isabela through its City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, led by CDRRM Chief Uso Dan Salasim conducted a 5-day training on Incident Command System (ICS) – Integrated Planning Course. The training took place from November 13 to 17 at the BALAI in Barangay Tabiawan.
During this course, 31 participants acquired and applied crucial knowledge and tools necessary to strengthen the capacity and preparedness for various incidents and events.
The training, conducted by expert ICS from the OCD IX and led by Chief of Operations Emilia Julhajan, featured facilitators such as Raiyah Sindatoc from OCD IX Capacity Building and Training Services, Zamboanga City Police Office Deputy City Director for Administration PLTCOL Reynald Ariño, Zamboanga del Norte Katipunan MDRRMO Administrator and Training Section Chief Geoffrey Denopol, and CDRRMO-Isabela City LDRRMO Cris John Hufana.
The Incident Command System – Integrated Planning Course is a comprehensive program designed to further enhance skills in incident command and emergency response coordination.
