In conclusion of the 5-day Organic Farming Training, 20 local farmers from Isabela City were conferred with training certificates on community- based training on organic concoctions and extracts production during the closing program, November 10 at Sangguniang Panlungsod Session Hall.
In her message, City Agriculturist Maria Gina Alberto expressed her congratulations to the completers and encouraged them to put into practice the knowledge and skills they acquired to harvest the health and environmental benefits of organic farming.
The closing program was graced by the esteemed TESDA IX District Training Center TESD Specialists Engr. Abdulmubin Madisa, Madison Hajan and Ibrahim Asamuddin. Meanwhile, selected participants shared their takeaways from the training and expressed interests in availing future trainings concerning other core competencies of organic agriculture.
The Organic Farming Training was held in conjunction with the 9th Organic Agriculture Month celebration and is one of the key initiatives of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman in line with the city government’s administrative agenda of achieving a progressive economy through sustainable agricultural practices.
