In continuing what has become a hallmark of her administration, Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman led, October 11, the People’s Budget Consultation at Joveth’s Isabela.
Since her assumption to office in 2019, Mayor Turabin-Hataman has consistently involved the insights and inputs of various sectors and stakeholders in the budgetary preparations of the Local Government Unit of the City of Isabela, underscoring her pro-people and pro-development platform of governance. In fact, leading her 9-Point Priority Agenda is the realization and institutionalization of a ‘transparent, participatory, effective and efficient governance.’
For the proposed 2024 Budget, sectoral representatives were given the opportunity to scrutinize allocations across general, economic and social services and were invited to raise questions and suggestions. These were in turn responded by the city government department heads and Office of the City Mayor division chiefs in attendance led by City Administrator Pedrito Eisma.
Also in attendance were Councilor Karel Annjaiza Sakkalahul, Isabela City Police Station Chief PLTCOL Parson Asadil, City Fire Marshall SINSP Wilhelm Albrecht, members of the Isabela City People’s Council, LEAD Council, PCCI-Isabela City, Isabela City TIPC, CDC, CPOC, LYDC, FSCAP/OSCA, LSB, Basilan Ulama Supreme Council, leaders from women’s associations, civil society organizations, and several of the city’s punong barangays among others.
