Deputy Minority Leader and Basilan Lone District Representative Mujiv Hataman personally led the disbursement of relief assistance, October 6 at La Piedad MPCC to a total of 2,503 beneficiaries. This was made possible by way of Congressional Funding from Representative Hataman’s office coursed through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

The payout, amounting to a thousand pesos per person, was administered by personnel from DSWD-AICSP and the recipients were identified through an assessment conducted by the City Social Welfare and Development Office. The individuals came from Baluno with 524, Eastside with 460, La Piedad with 405, Marketsite with 343 and Sunrise with 321 beneficiaries.
