With Congressional Funding from the Office of Deputy Minority Leader and Basilan Lone District Representative Mujiv Hataman and coursed through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development, 611 beneficiaries from Barangay Lukbuton and 579 individuals from Barangay Panigayan received relief assistance, October 3.
The payout, amounting to a thousand pesos per person, was administered by personnel from DSWD-AICSP and the recipients were identified through an assessment conducted by the City Social Welfare and Development Office.
Basilan District 1 Board Member Ahmed Ibn Djaliv Hataman represented Representative Hataman and was joined by officials of the BLGU of the said barangays. Also present was SAO Robert Arseña, on behalf of CSWD-OIC Nor-aina Asmara.
