In line with the 123rd Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman led the surprise inspection of various departments, offices and divisions starting with the Business Permits and Licensing Division (BPLD) of the City Government of Isabela, September 19, to ensure effective and efficient services, particularly the frontline services are provided to all of its clienteles.
This is also in consonance with “The Ease of Doing Business Act of 2018”, which allows for easy processing of business registration and licensing for anyone who wants to establish business operations in the country.
In a bid to further streamline processes in the application for business permits and vastly improving ease of doing business (EODB) to benefit investors and MSMEs, Mayor Turabin-Hataman, directed all relevant agencies, offices, departments and units to undertake real-time simulations of vital processes to assess and evaluate where improvements and reforms may be introduced moving forward.
LGU-Isabela City strives hard to do away with the complexities of getting the necessary permits, and make the city more accommodating for investors and local establishments through the setting up of electronic Business One Stop Shop or BOSS and the digitalization of business registrations through the i-BPLS.
Isabela City’s current iBPLS has only three steps, namely: 1. File an application form (when all requirements are already complied with); 2. Pay (Online payment platforms – GCash and Maya – are currently being explored with leading telecoms companies Globe and Smart respectively; and 3. Receive the signed Business Permit.
The Isabela de Basilan Year-round Electronic Business One Stop Shop (E-BOSS) is located at the ground floor of the City Hall.
