In line with the 123rd Philippine Civil Service Anniversary celebration and with the agenda of providing a transparent, participatory, effective and efficient government, the City Government of Isabela under the initiative of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman brings the government closer to its constituents through the conduct of the first-ever Government Open House, from September 18 to 20.
Farmers, fisherfolks and senior citizens flocked the City Hall on the first day of its open house. Visitors were given their individual passports where they were asked to hop from one office to the other in order to earn and collect stickers. Completing provided tasks and challenges would earn individual points with equivalent prizes at the end of the office visitations.
This activity aims to engage the public with local representatives and policymakers; to gain insights into the procedures and workings of the city government; to connect with fellow community members; and to learn about exciting initiatives and projects of the City Government of Isabela.
