In celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan 2023, the City Government of Isabela, under Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, organized the grand opening of the 4-day stay-in survival camp, HAPIsabela Youth Summit 3.0: The Rise of Saga Bahau Kaonde’an. The youth of Isabela were thrilled to have an exciting opportunity during the launch to groove to the beat of the future at the Taylor Swift: Listening Party, July 31at Plaza Isabela.
In her message, Mayor Turabin-Hataman expressed her sincere congratulation to the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) led by LYDO Levinia Jarejolne and the Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) for their unwavering dedication and ongoing commitment to their work. She also highlighted the alignment of their efforts with the observance of Linggo ng Kabataan and assured the youth that the local government places significant emphasis on actively involving them in all endeavors, as the achievements and progress made are meant to benefit and be passed on to the younger generation.
To further support the youth, Mayor Turabin-Hataman underscored those ample opportunities for learning, receiving additional support, and nurturing their talents and skills are being provided. She also extended an invitation to the youth to remain engaged with the local government and other institutions within the Isabela City community, fostering their active participation in shaping a brighter future.
In its third year, the summit aims to inspire and empower young individuals to become leaders and create positive changes in their communities. It focuses on promoting resilience in the face of challenges and offers interactive activities and skill-building sessions to equip the youth with practical knowledge.
