Isabela City Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin Hataman held a meeting, July 31, with city officials to discuss concerns related to the anticipated opening of the Pasangan Commercial Center at the Isabela City Public Market.

The meeting centered on the challenges arising from acquiring multiple stalls through leasing and its potential remedies. The meeting aimed to find effective solutions to ensure fairness and efficiency in the commercial center’s leasing practices.

The mayor emphasized the importance of supporting local businesses while maintaining transparency and accountability in governance. Further actions are expected to address the concerns and enhance the city’s economic landscape.

Present during the meeting were City Legal Officer Atty. Adzlan Imran, City General Services Officer Eugene Strong, LEDIPO Chief Juanito Jaime Rivera, LEDIPO Investment Services Unit Head Irish Fonollera and personnel from BPLO.

Through the initiative of Basilan Lone District Rep. Mujiv Hataman, the Office of Senator Joel Villanueva and Anak Mindanao Party-list the more than 150,000,000 edifice is implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways. It is expected to house more than 300 stalls for the dry goods section of the public market.
