The City Government of Isabela through its City Agriculture Office (CAGO), in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture-RFO IX, organized, July 13, the registration of farmers and fisherfolk through the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture. The event also involved the distribution of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials and free seeds. Meanwhile, on July 14, the event will continue with the conduct of RSBSA at Barangay Menzi Multipurpose Covered Court.
The event involved the participation of RSBSA DMO Ross Gerald Paraguya, RSBSA Project Development Assistant Alhabriz Mohammad, and other CAGO personnel.
The joint effort aimed to register farmers under the national Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA), which serves as a major requirement, giving them priority to receive various assistance from the Department of Agriculture as well as to support and empower the agricultural community, improve their knowledge and productivity, and promote sustainable agricultural practices in Isabela City.
