In his message, Vice Mayor Jhul Kifli Salliman talked about the importance of freedom of information and underlined that respect for human rights must be observed at all times and in all levels of information dissemination.

Meanwhile, Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin Hataman applauded the body for its manifestation of commitment in the delivery of factual information through responsible exercise of freedom of expression. She talked about the city government’s information revolution (INFOREVO) initiative and highlighted the significance of public participation and contribution in promoting good governance and asserting accountability from leaders.

Among the resource speakers were PIA Region IX ARD Rene Carbayas, Julie Alipala from Philippine Daily Inquirer, and Raymond Jay Cueva, Merry Christine Manuel and Jayson Arcan from DXNO.
