On June 2, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) IX, led by DILG IX Assistant Regional Director Carmelo Ligot, conducted an assessment of the Seal of Local Good Governance (SGLG) for the City of Isabela. The assessment took place at the SP Session Hall.
During the event, Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman addressed the participants and delivered a message emphasizing the significance of the presentation and highlighted the opportunity presented by the SGLG assessment and how it reflects the city’s commitment to good governance. Following the mayor’s message, ARD Ligot provided an overview of the assessment. He also shared details about the assessment process, including the criteria for evaluating the City of Isabela’s governance practices.
The Regional Assessment Team, consisting of representatives from the DILG and civil society organizations, carried out the evaluation of LGU-Isabela City over a two-day period. The purpose of the assessment was to determine whether the city met the criteria of good governance as set forth by the SGLG.
