May 18 marks a special milestone for the HAPIsabela Mobile Library as it celebrates its first anniversary. As such, the City Information Office (CIO) through its Learning and Information for Barangay Readers Outreach (LIBRO) visited, May 18, Barangay Small Kapatagan.
The LIBRO crew was ably assisted by members of the Isabela City Barangay Information Officers Network, Small Kapatagan kagawads Rodel Delos Santos, Karen Balla and Maricel Sanson, and officers of the Isabela City Police Station. Kapatagan Dyutay Elementary School TIC Leonardo Payusan expressed his thanks for the visit and hoped that similar projects in the future would still involve the children of the said barangay. Some of the faculty of the said school were also present during the activity.
As the first and only LGU-managed mobile library in Zamboanga Peninsula, Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman has tasked CIO headed by City Information Officer Mendry-Ann Lim to bring the joy of reading to Isabeleño children residing in the city’s interior barangays and contribute positively to making the agenda of “health, education and well-being” as a platform to realize a happy and dignified life for all.
