Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman graced, May 17, the assessment of the city’s Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (LCAT VAWC).
As mandated by the Department of Interior and Local Government, the said assessment aims to appraise the performance and serve as basis for policy and capacity development to strengthen the capability of LGUs in combating trafficking in persons and eliminating violence against women children.
In her remarks, Mayor Turabin-Hataman reminded those in attendance of the sterling performance of Isabela City in previous assessments of the LCAT VAWC and remain faithful to the agenda on the “care for vulnerable members of the community” as a platform to realize a happy and a dignified life for all.
Participating in the activity were RIMTF headed by DILG IX LGOO Lizette Regine Boltiador, RCWC AA Almera Ampato, RCWC SWO Raquel Jamig, NNC IX DMO Marissa Ibrahim, KKI MEL Officer Arnold Jhan Morte, PNP PRO IX Chief Regional WCPD PMAJ Anelyn Coraza, from DILG IX Beatriz Faye Carreon, DepEd IX GAD Focal Sheila Nasalin, PIA Basilan Infocenter Manager Nilda Delos Reyes and DILG Isabela City FOU CLGOO Pilar Gudio.
Representing the City Government were City Social Welfare and Development Office OIC Nor-Aina Asmara, City Population Management and Development Officer Jesielyn Puno, City Persons with Disabilities Affairs Officer Gemma Casas-Paculio, SAO Robert Arseña, SW Jean Mariano and other personnel from the said offices.
