Isabela City Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman graced the PARTICIPATE Democracy Summit: Rebuilding the Middle as one of its panelists during the opening plenary, May 11 at Novotel Hotel Araneta Center, Quezon City.

Mayor Turabin-Hataman discussed the summit’s theme on Strengthening Democratic Spaces through Stronger Civil Society during Session 3 and was joined by five other political party leaders. The said session was organized by Caucus of Development NGO Networks and International Center for Innovation, Transformation, and Excellence in Governance (INCITEGov).

The summit gathered around 300 participants as well as key figures representing various groups across the political spectrum. This served as a venue for civil society organizations, government institutions, academe, political parties, international partners, think tanks, election law experts, and other political reformists to gather, be updated on policy developments and dialogue on policy initiatives and plans for electoral and political reforms.
