Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman together with Basilan Lone District Representative Mujiv Hataman welcomed, May 10, officers of the Kasanyangan Center for Community Development and Microfinance Foundation Inc. (KCCDMFI) led by its president and CEO Mercedes Faustino at Isabela City Hall.
The guests were in the city to personally relay to Mayor Turabin-Hataman that Isabela City was chosen as one of the group’s target beneficiary of its program and services for the enterprising poor, lor those engaged in a small business but do not have enough working capital to generate sustainable income.
KCCDMFI is a social development organization engaged microfinance program that deals with credit activities, savings, and microinsurance.
It is an area that is a personal cause of the local chief executive, and has since been an integral measure in her efforts to institute sustainable socio-economic amelioration programs. It can be recalled that microfinance and financial literacy have been twin cornerstones of Mayor Turabin-Hataman’s progressive and inclusive economic agenda since she assumed power in 2019, and to date has benefitted hundreds of deserving Isabeleños.
