In celebration of its 22nd Cityhood Anniversary, the City Government of Isabela led by Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman through its City Tourism Office headed by City Tourism Officer Claudio Ramos II formally opened Sakayan Festival 2023 with the theme “Many Colors, One Rainbow,” April 25 at Plaza Isabela.

Vice Mayor Engr. Jhul Kifli Salliman on the occasion of the city’s 22nd anniversary, extended his greetings and welcomed the partners and stakeholders.

In her remarks for the Sakayan Festival, Mayor Turabin-Hataman expressed her gratitude and mentioned that, since the festival’s inception in previous years, the city has made significant progress toward realizing the Isabela City’s dream.

As they join in celebrating the vibrant culture and rich traditions of the HAPIsabela community at this year’s festival, Provincial Government of Basilan Governor Jim Salliman represented by Provincial Administrator Manny Muarip and Basilan Lone District Representative and Deputy Minority Leader Mujiv Hataman both shared messages of support in development of the city.

This year’s festivity was participated by representative from the security sectors, national line agencies, academe, civic organizations as well as the city’s 45 barangay.
