The Isabela City Youth Development Alliance convened to discuss programs and initiatives for the out-of-school youths, April 1 at Sakayan Conference Room.
During the meeting, discussed were the conduct of OSY profiling, and a barangay-based OSY caravan to be conducted in May-June 2023 on 350 OSY. The alliance also identified ten barangays and an active and engaged Sangguniang Kabataan to conduct the OSY profiling and discussed were the objectives of the POY, Youth Volunteer Activity, and the barangay-based OSY caravan.
The meeting also focused on the learnings and insights gained during the National Youth Development Alliance Summit held on February 21, the expanded Executive Order of the Isabela City Youth Development Alliance, updates on post-training support to OSYs under Youth Development Grants and its highlights of accomplishments where only 103 graduated for all cohorts out of 150 ALS, and other activities and issues and challenges shared. The presentation on the youth work and continuing education readiness training program followed.
Present were Hon. James Abner Rodriguez, chair of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Committee on Education, Science, and Technology, EDC Youth Development Coordinator Nonie Ahaddas, Youth Development Officer Moh.
