In order to promote resiliency, recovery and wellness for employees who have been exposed to higher levels of stress and/or trauma after responding to the recent M/V Lady Mary Joy 3 tragedy, Isabela City Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman initiated the conduct of a Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD) among its city responders to include CDRRMO, CHO and CSWDO personnel, March 31 at Sakayan Conference Room.

The said activity dubbed as Care for the Carers Critical Incident Stress Debriefing of LGU-Isabela City, was spearheaded by the Isabela CSWDO in partnership with Nagdilaab Foundation Inc. headed by Executive Director Miriam Suacito who facilitated the said debriefing sessions among the responders of the sea mishap.

CISD is a facilitator-led group crisis intervention conducted soon after a traumatic event that aims to perform “psychological first aid” to people exposed to or directly affected by a potentially traumatic incident. During these group sessions, the facilitator helps participants understand their emotional reactions, validates their responses, and provides stress management tools and resources for continued support.
