CCRO Jaljalis discussed the process of organizing an onsite mobile registration in the city’s 45 barangays in order to bring the program closer to communities and reduce the city’s growing number of unregistered individuals in remote and far areas. They were also oriented on PBRAP in preparation for a more extensive and intensive civil registration campaign including on site-campus civil registration targeting zero unregistered children or students for this school year. The activity will also extend to registration for PhilSys ID.
The discussion also focused on RA 11596, also known as the Anti-Child Marriage Law, which promotes the welfare of Filipino children by prohibiting and protecting them from entering into any type of child marriage, clarifying the issues and concerns of early marriage in the context of Sharia Law.
