Isabela City Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman led the turn over ceremony of two motor bangka (jungkong type) to Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)-Isabela City headed by Station Commander CG ENS Niccolo Philip Tabarrejo, January 10 at Coast Guard Station, Barangay Seaside.
The local chief executive also mentioned that the city needed the PCG’s continued support and also informed them of the tremendous assistance they provided to Isabela City, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, on how to secure the coastal barangays.
Mayor Turabin-Hataman also assured the PCG-Isabela City that she would assist in their empowerment as she looked forward to a more capable and equipped PCG, “Sana maka-partner pa natin ang PCG, hindi na lamang sa peace-keeping or safety and security kundi mismo sa development ng Isabela City.”
Meanwhile, CGDSWM Deputy District Commander CG Capt. Geofrey Gervo expressed his gratitude to LGU-Isabela City on behalf of CG District Commander Antonio Gines, stating that the assets will help them perform their mandates such as law enforcement, environmental protection, and search and rescue operations. He also requested the local government’s support for their future endeavors.
