The said beneficiaries will work for ten days and receive a salary of P3510. This was made possible through the facilitation of the Office of the Deputy Minority Floor Leader and Basilan Lone District Representative Mujiv Hataman.
Also, under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP), LGU-Isabela City through its City Tourism Office received a grant of P1.9 million for the kayaks with paddles and life vests which will benefit the women of Barangay Marang-Marang and its indigenous peoples.
The Program seeks to contribute to poverty reduction and reduce the vulnerability to risks of the working poor, vulnerable and marginalized workers either through emergency employment, and promotion of entrepreneurship and community enterprises. (Words by S.J. Asakil/Photos by M. Santos, CIO)
