The City Government of Isabela through its Local Youth Development Officer Levinia Perez-Jarejolne joined the One-Day Workshop on Implementing USAID Opportunity 2.0’s Higher-level Education or Training Readiness Orientation (HERO) on November 8 at the Sakayan Conference Room.
The event is organized by the USAID Opportunity 2.0 Program team led by LHEC Carlo Fernando. This one-day workshop aims to provide avenue for the members of the YDA to align their complementing roles to support the pursuance of OSYs to further education and training; orient YDA members on USAID Opportunity 2.0’s HERO Program, an 18-hour orientation which aims to orient Filipino OSYs to be prepared towards higher-level education and assist them on admission processes, funding mechanisms, course/discipline counselling and selection of academic institutions; and discuss next steps of the alliance regarding HERO implementation.
Participants are heads of office and representatives from different college schools of Isabela City, non-government organizations, PIA Basilan and other stakeholders. (Words by: S. Sualing/Photos by A. Taghap, CIO)
