The City Government of Isabela represented by City Administrator Atty. Adzlan Imran met with the National Nutrition Council (NNC) led by RNPC Nimfa Ekong on November 4 at the Sakayan Conference Hall.
Discussed were preparations for the launching of Tutok Kainan Program in the City of Isabela. This program aims to help in the reduction of child stunting and wasting by providing supplemental food to pregnant women and complementary food for children 6-23 months old. In Isabela City, there are 4 out of 45 barangays targeted for the implementation of said program. Priority will be given to those who are nutritionally at-risk or undernourished. There will be also IEC advocacy materials to be distributed and presented through different platforms within the period of program implementation.
Also tackled was the possible resigning of the DXNO radio station tripartite contract between the NNC, LGU Isabela City and United Evangelical Church-Volunteer Firefighters Group considering the new signatories of these three parties.
