To orient the Local Chief Executive on its roles and duties, National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) IX led by Interim Chairperson, RDC IX and Regional Director Phlorita Ridao met with Isabela City Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, October 20 at the Sakayan Conference Room.
RDC IX Secretary and NEDA IX ARD Maria Felicidad Guerrero discussed the RDC’s legal foundation, composition, and functions, as well as other related issues, while DevAdCom IX Secretary discussed the Zamboanga Peninsula Regional Development Plan for 2017-2022.
Following that, DRD Chief Eleanor Reyes discussed the RDC IX-Approved Prioritization Criteria, the Status/Updates of ZamPen’s Priority PAPs for FY 2023, such as Domestic/Community Airport Development Projects, Capture Fisheries Productivity Enhancement Project, and the Establishment of Agri-Business Corridors, and the National Broadband Program.
InfraCom IX Secretary Leticia Lobren provided an overview of the Regional Project Monitoring & Evaluation System (RPMES), its objective, scope, and coverage, as well as the composition of the RPMC as the Regional Development Council’s monitoring arm.
The LGU-Isabela City was also awarded with a Plaque of Commendation from the RDC IX Regional Population Developement Coordinating Committee in recognition of its oustanding support in the observance of the 2022 National Family Planning Month. (Words by SJ Asakil/Photos By M. Santos, CIO)
