Pursuant to Section 30 of Republic Act No. 10742, the Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015 mandates the annual commemoration of Linggo ng Kabataan in every barangay, municipality, city, and province where the 12th of August falls to coincide with the International Youth Day (IYD).

Through the Local Youth Development Office together with the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation, the Grand Launching was graced by City Mayor Turabin-Hataman, Youth Development Officer II Levinia L. Jarejolne, SK Federation President Hon. Haizer A. Salain, and a representative from the ICYDA Mohammad Ashraf Abubabakar.

This year’s celebration, themed, “Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for All Ages” aims to showcase the skills and talents as well as to highlight the pivotal roles of Young Filipinos toward nation-building.

The rationale with the exciting and fulfilling activities that awaits the Youth of Isabela City were also presented in the said launching.
