The LGU of Isabela City headed by Mayor, Hon. Sitti Djalia A. Turabin-Hataman through its Public Employment Service Office (PESO) in partnership with Technical Education and Skills Development Authority(TESDA) successfully conducted today the Opening Ceremony of Gender and Development (GAD) Livelihood and Technical Training Program at the City Infirmary 4th floor Building.
 
The opening ceremony was witnessed by Ms. Ma. Elena T. Alabata, DOLE ICFO Head, Mr. Rodolfo M. Bicasan, District Training Center Administrator, Mr. Zandro Gorda, CBT focal, Ms. Gloria Halirin, Supervising TESD Specialist, Ms. Jeemay Singson, Food Processing trainer, Ms. Georgina Diaz, Dressmaking trainer, Ms. Gaililian Gerangaya, Events Management and Front Office Services trainer, Ms. Aradelria T. Belleng, PESO Manager and Hon. Karel Annjaiza Sakalahul, city councilor.
 
The Gender and Development (GAD) Livelihood and Technical Training Program of LGU-Isabela aims to provide sustainable self-employment through easy to learn livelihood activities and to facilitate entrepreneurial opportunities and provide livelihood assistance and other services to our target beneficiaries. It is also one of the alternative solutions to recover from various economic losses brought by this COVID-19 pandemic.
 
Hon. Sitti Djalia A. Turabin-Hataman directed the PESO to assess the previous participants as well as the new applicants, especially if they have benefitted from the basic training. Hence, this training will also serve as skills enhancement training of participants. Also, by providing starter kit and access to other livelihood assistance, the participants will have a better success rate.
