The Isabela City Water District through the Global Water Solutions, Incorporated in collaboration with the Countrywide Water Services, Incorporated led by the Local Government of Isabela, represented by Vice Mayor Jhul Kifli L. Saliman convened to discuss the proposal on Water Security Master Plan (WSMP) in Isabela City on March 29, at the Sakayan Conference Room II, this city.
The WSMP’s objective is to serve as the basis and guidance for subsequent water and sanitation programs, projects, and activities, including watershed management given the impacts of climate change, among others.
Engr. Jay Tecson as head of the Global Water Solutions, Incorporated, presented the necessity, benefits and process of the proposed Water Security Plan as the Isabela City’s population grows at 3.10% rate, annually. Water consumers continue to grow with the expanding economic and social activities in the City. He also added the possible impact and changes the project can bring.
Meanwhile, Countrywide Water Services, Incorporated representative, Mr. Mauricio Tobon related how they managed to overcome the challenges in maintaining the guidance for subsequent water and sanitation programs.
