Isabela City Youth Development Alliance convened, February 24, to discuss and revisit the ICYDA Strategic Planning as well as the integration of key recommendations from the thematic sessions of the YDA Summit.
Margie Auxtero of IFI, discussed the quarterly report progress under Project R.I.D.E. and the summary of overall achievements and brief description of any potential performance challenges. Activities for the next quarter will start on March 5 and 6, with venues at the Learning Centers in Diki, Malamawi and ICEPS.
Youth Development Officer Moh. Ashraf Abubakar tackled the update on USAID-EDC Opportunity 2.0 program’s 1st YDA Summit as well as the concerns on the thematic areas namely Employment and Entrepreneurship, Education and Training, Governance for Youth Development and Community Engagement, held in Cebu City on December 14-15 last year.
Also discussed were the lined-up activities and planned youth project and major initiatives of 2.0 program as well as the LRIR Online Encoding/Signing of Booklet.
USAID Opportunity 2.0 program or Second-chance opportunities for the OSY is a 5-year program implemented by US-based Education Devt Center (EDC) in collaboration with TESDA and DepEd together with the City Government of Isabela. The program is designed to support existing programs and mechanisms for Filipino OSY to improve their education, employment and livelihood.
