Officials from the National Commission for Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) headed by Bureau of Pilgrimage and Endowments OIC Malo M. Manonggiring paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Sitti Djalia A. Turabin-Hataman, February 21.
The delegation made a stop in Isabela City as part of the agency’s series of stakeholders’ meetings on the Hajj Awareness Program. The Philippines is still waiting for the definite number of slots for Filipino pilgrims, this as NCMF Secretary Atty. Saidamen Balt Pangarungan requested for 9,000 slots in the recent Hajj Conference.
Also discussed were potential partnerships on Awqaf and institutionalization of endowment projects to be piloted in the city. It can be recalled that Mayor Turabin-Hataman served as the first ever executive director of the NCMF upon its establishment in 2010.
