Under the leadership of Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, the Isabela City Health Office (CHO) of Isabela de Basilan conducted a series of forum on Pediatric COVID-19 Vaccination on February 08, Tuesday. A forum was held at the Department of Education (DepEd) Division Office involving selected DepEd personnel and teachers while another forum was conducted among CHO staff and personnel and other stakeholders at the City Infirmary Multipurpose Hall, this city.
These activities were initiated in preparation for the roll out of the slated COVID-19 vacciantion drive for children aged 5-11 years old on February 14, Monday, this year.
In both occasions, Health Education and Promotion Officer Ms. Bernardita Hontucan of the City Health Office presented the possible concerns regarding the said campaign. She emphasized that the Department of Health itself has ensured that the vaccines are safe and effective. Meanwhile, Ms. Jane Buenbrazo, also from CHO, discussed the requirements for pediatric vaccination and the importance of getting inoculated for the possibility of allowing limited face-to-face classes.
