FIRST AIDE AND SAFETY comes first in the TSCOPE Series
18 November, 2021: Tabuk, Isabela de Basilan| 80 Isabela City Bangkeros and Papet Drivers participated in the two-day training on WASAR, First Aide and Safety conducted by Isabela City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Team to ensure safety of our bangkeros and papet drivers and their respective passengers.
The Local Government of Isabela de Basilan under the leadership of City Mayor Sitti Djalia A. Turabin-Hataman through the Isabela City Tourism Office with the support of the Department of Tourism – Zamboanga Peninsula has rolled out TSCOPE Series or the T’SCOPE: Tourism Short Courses as Opportunities for People Empowerment (Economic Recovery Assistance). It aims to provide avenue for tourism grassroot stakeholders to advance the already existing competence and equip and adapt new trends in preparation for the resumption of tourism operations.
Representing City Mayor Turabin-Hataman, City Tourism Officer Claudio M. Ramos II extended his thanks to the Department of Tourism – Zamboanga Peninsula for all the support given to Isabela City. He also emphasized the importance of the training for the tourism stakeholders and how this form part in the revitalization of the tourism industry in Isabela de Basilan.
There will be three more batches for our bangkeros in the coming days and months. Other capacity development endeavors include food safety for our accredited restaurants and eateries, safety for our habal-habal drivers and also empowering our tourism frontline personnel.
Once again our thanks to the Department of Tourism- Zamboanga Peninsula, toe the Isabela CDRRMO under the helm of Sir Uso Dan Salasim and also to the Special Forces led by BATCOM Col. Alex Ampati and Commanding Officer Captain Mark Christian B. Sta. Ana for the venue of the training.
