205 displaced women, OSY returnees, PWDs and child laborer beneficiaries graduate from livelihood and technical skills training conducted by the City Government of Isabela de Basilan through the Public Employment Service Office in partnership with TESDA IX led by Regional Director Omarkkayyam Dalagan and DOLE IX ICFO head Lena Alabata.
The Culminating Activity of Gender and Development (GAD) Livelihood and Technical Training Program was held today, September 1, 2021 at the BNHS Multipurpose Hall, this City.

Fabric Conditioner
Tiles Cleaner
Dishwashing Liquid
Food Processing (Sugar Concentration)
Chika-chika
Mango jam
Pineapple jam
Banana chips
Cassava chips
The 205 trainees finished their tech-voc training last August 29, 2021. Said trainings were held at the Women’s Center in Tabuk Barangay and started last August 3.
Spearheading the culminating activity was Mayor Dadah Turabin-Hataman along with Vice Mayor Jhul Kifli L. Salliman and members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod.
During the program, Mayor Dadah encouraged trainees to continue to hone their skills in making crafts and other products and to engage in economic trading activities and competitions such as the City’s HAPISABIDA.
Meanwhile, Claudio M. Ramos II, City Tourism Officer expressed his support by promoting trainees’ products in city’s pasalubong centers for national, international and local tourists.
Vice Mayor Hataman and Councilor Karel Sakkalahul on the other hand committed to support the trainees by buying their products while encouraging them to take the experience as an opportunity to improve their daily living conditions.
Also present are women organization partners of the city such as the Mothers for Peace, IBLLA and Kalipi.
