Recognizing the youth’s role as future leaders, the city government in partnership with the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation successfully hosted the three-day intensive training focusing on different themes to include Good Governance, Agriculture and Food Security, Civic Engagement, Environment, Peace and Security, and Health and Education.
The summit, partcipated by 35 excellent youth leaders is a platform that aims to provide opportunities on active youth participation and community engagement for young Isabeleños who in turn made impressive and doable proposals, that were relevant and timely in leading a community at a very young age.
During the course of the training, Mayor Dadah Turabin-Hataman along with Vice Mayor Jhul Kifli L. Salliman expressed their support to the presented themed output of youth leaders and said that the city is very much interested and willing to engage proposed activities and programs of youth in all of city’s platforms to be able to sustain the gains of trained youth models, the City’s future leaders.
During the closing ceremony of the summit, the City Government through the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation represented by its President Haizer Salain also formally turned over the educational assistance checks in the amount of P4999.00 for the procurement of
50 units of mobile handsets for fifty (50) Alternative Learning School (ALS) learners.
