Members of the City Security Cluster led by City Mayor Sitti Djalia A. Turabin-Hataman of the City Peace and Order Council gathered on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 to discuss urgent matters pertaining to the public safety situationer of the city following the series of shooting incidents and unresolved crimes that happened within the Area of Responsibility of Isabela City for the first quarter of CY 2021.
The meeting is in lieu of CPOC’s resolution on March 23, for the convention of city’s security cluster purposely to dicuss the regulation of firearms mobility within Isabela city AOR.
Deputy Speaker Hon. Mujiv S. Hataman joined the meeting and discussed proposed strategies to counter such human atrocities such as regulation of firearms mobility and intensified police presence in Isabela City.
During the meeting, Mayor Dadah underscored that there is an urgent call to regulate firearms mobility in the city most especially for those civilian autjorities who are licensed to carry their issued firearms.
Presented further was the City’s Approved Peace and Order and Public Safety Plan 2021 (POPS 2021) by Engr. Edgardo C. Halasan, city Planni v and Development Coordinator and Chairman of POPS Plan TWG.
Present during the meeting were members of the security cluster to include member and representatives from the Isabela City Police Station, Joint Task Force Basilan, 4th SF Bn, 54th PNP-SAF, Philippine Coast Guard, Bureau of Fire, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, DILG, CPDO, CDRRMO and Committee Chair on Peace and Security Hon. Councilor Ritchie Biel.
