WOMEN in the context of the Quran and the Bible:A Conversation. A Celebration.

Dated today, some 50 women from different organizations and sectors come together in solidarity, sharing Storie of their faith and religion, citing similarities and celebrating those. The 4th day of the Mindanao Week of Peace 2020 was held and designed especially for the inclusion of women in in-depth talks as it is today. Women in the Quran was tackled by Dr. Alsad Sattar from the Basilan Ulama Supreme Council and Women in the Bible was discussed by Sr. Luciana Arana, OND.The sessions indeed casts understanding and appreciation of both Muslim and Christians.

Nagdilaab Foundation Incorporated, Ms. Miriam L. Suacito states in her message, that this activity doesn’t mark the first and last, hence, first of the many.. Lady Executive of the City of Isabela de Basilan, Hon. Sitti Djalia Turabbin-Hataman shared in her message, her high hopes amidst this pandemic, and also her knowledge of the 3 most revered women in the Quran who also has its counterpart in the Christian Religion..

This event served as a gathering of the multi-facets of women in the society as religion, beliefs, culture and tradition provides.
