City Peace and Order Council holds 3rd Quarter Meeting
City BIOs Challenged to Do, Lead more; Role as Force Mutipliers Pushed

The 3rd Quarter City Peace and Order Council Meeting was convened last September 15, 2020, 1pm at the 4th Floor, Infirmary Building, City Hall Complex, Isabela City Basilan. This is to discuss some pressing issues related to matters tackled during the RPOC Executive Committee Urgent Meeting attended by Isabela City Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin Hataman held last September 10, 2020 via zoom, concerning recent terrorist activities in the region.

26 members of CPOC were in attendance together with 28 Punong Barangays and 7 barangays with their representatives. Peace and security updates and security plan were discussed by both the AFP and ICPS during the meeting to prevent the entry and committing of atrocities of terrorists in the areas of the city.

The barangay captains were requested to reactivate the CVOs/Tanods to conduct neighborhood patrols; to report to concerned agencies any untoward incidents and suspicious movements by unknown individuals; to cooperate with authorities in ensuring the security of our local communities; to secure religious edifices, schools, markets, commercial buildings, and other public places under their respective area of responsibility.Barangay Tanods will be issued proper identification cards by LGU-Isabela.
