September 11, 2020 | Isabela City Mayor Sitti Djalia A. Turabin-Hataman seeks approval for the realignment of City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office funds intended for the procurement of additional sea ambulance during the third quarter CDRRM Council meeting and report held at the 4th floor Infirmary building, this city, Friday morning.
The proposed sea ambulance that is to be procured on account of CDRRMO’s budget in the amount of 6.5 million pesos was first approved by the previous council or during the term of the previous administration. Hataman said that based on their review on the specifications of the unit, the fund can be used to avail one more unit at a lower cost yet not compromising the standard specifications of the unit agreed upon.
Moreover, Acting City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Jaime Juanito Rivera presented the specifications of the two model units. The first unit proposed to be procured on account of the same fund is a Brand New 32 Footer Boat Model “Assault 3200” (Enclosed) , with an estimate cost of P4,000,000.00 while the second one is a Brand New 26 Footer Boat Model “Raven 2600” amounting to P2,500,000.00. According to Rivera, the first one shall be utilized as an inter-island sea ambulance to be used primarily for patient transport and such other medical emergencies. While the latter shall be utilized as an inter-provincial sea vehicle intended for the same purpose.
