May 15, 2020 | ISABELA CITY, Basilan – City Mayor Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin Hataman puts paint markings for queue to remind people of the importance of social maintenance or physical distancing in places where there are usually or many people lining up to buy or transact.

This is to emphasize the importance of physical distancing as one of the best ways to prevent and suppress the prevalence of COVID-19 Disease.

Physical or social distancing is a preventive measure implemented around the world because until currently no vaccination or medicine is said disease.

This is one of the “new normal” practice that people should learn and do even if GCQ is removed from the city. It is also the responsibility of every individual to discipline oneself and comply with this policy.

Recently the mayor of the city revealed that:

“” As long as we don’t need to deal with Covid-19, as long as our mind is ” I don’t have a virus, I can’t infect.. He / them is healthy, it’s not sick , I can’t be transmitted.. there is no virus here, there is no virus where I am going.. ” we are still not safe inside and outside our communities and others are still unsafe from us. Proper thought is the first offensive and defense in the fight against this pandemic.”
