May 26, 2020 | ISABELA CITY, Basilan – The Isabela City Covid19 Task force headed by Mayor Sitti Djalia A Turabin Hataman completed the SECOND WAVE OF RELIEF DISTRIBUTION OPERATIONS in all 45 barangays.
THIRTY THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED ONE (30,701) HOUSEHOLDS received ONE (1) SACK OF RICE each (10 kg per sack) for the SECOND WAVE, covering all households in the city.
A total of 38,876 FAMILY FOOD PACKS were distributed during the FIRST WAVE where all FAMILIES in Isabela City were targeted to be served.
Isabela City is currently on extended GENERAL COMMUNITY QUARANTINE until May 31, 2020, and still has ZERO (0) CONFIRMED CASES of COVID19. The distribution of relief assistance to families and households funded by the City’s Local DRRM Funds and the Bayanihan Fund Grant of the National Governmebt is meant to lessen the adverse impact of the imposition of the GCQ locally, with middle, low income families particularly hit hard by the economic displacement caused by the quarantine measures.
