Under the vibrant leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia A. Turabin-Hataman, the City Government of Isabela through its City Health Office headed by City Health Officer Dr. Mohrein Ismael VI in partnership with the City Information Office headed by City Information Officer Mendry-Ann Lim conducted Demand Generation on COVID-19 Booster Vaccination in line with this year’s “Sa Booster, PinasLakas!” Campaign, August 12 at Joveths Eatery, this City.
The “Sa Booster, PinasLakas!” is an initiative of the Department of Health (DOH) in a bid to strengthen the nationwide booster vaccination program of the government, following the presidential directives to improve access to healthcare services. The campaign intends to increase the number of Filipinos inoculated with booster shots to strengthen the nation’s defenses against the viral disease and to thereafter achieve herd immunity.
HEPO Designate Bernardita Hontucan,RN, Focal Person on COVID-19 Vaccination Jane Buenbrazo,RN and City Program Coordinator for Mosquito Borne Diseases Maridol Dela Cruz, RN also discussed updates on Monkey Pox – a new viral disease that was recently confirmed in the country, PinasLakas COVID-19 Vaccination and updates on Dengue disease that is also spreading rapidly in all regions of the country. Closing the program was Ms. Maribel Arapoc, RN, Supervising Nurse in the City of Isabela.
In attendance were the select personnel of the DXNO Radyo Komunidad and the 45 Barangay Health Workers of the City.
