In line with the top priority agenda of this administration which is Economically Progressive and as part of the City’s Gender and Development program, the City Government of Isabela de Basilan led by Mayor Sitti Djalia A. Turabin-Hataman through its Public Employment Services Office headed by PESO Manager Ms. Aradelria T. Belleng in partnership with DOLE Isabela City headed by Maria Elena Alabata conducted its Ceremonial Turn-Over of Kabuhayan Starter Kits for Food Processing, Cake Making, Candle Making and Dress Making beneficiaries today May 6, 2021 at City Gymnasium, this City.
A total of 200 beneficiaries will receive the Kabuhayan Starter Kits. 100 beneficiaries from Food Processing, 25 from Cake Making, 50 from Candle Making and 25 from Dress Making program.
These 200 beneficiaries are composed of displaced and disadvantage workers which were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and some were from marginalized sector.
These are the inclusions of the Pangkabuhayan Starter Kits to be received by the beneficiaries:

Distribution of starter kits was scheduled by batches to observe properly the health and safety protocols against COVID-19. There were already 16 beneficiaries from different programs who first received the starter kits today and they were considered as first batch to receive the kits.
PESO Manager Belleng in her opening remarks expressed and extended Mayor Dadah’s message and said that this program will not end at mere kabuhayan kits turn-over. Mayor Dadah committed to continuously provide assistance and support to displaced beneficiaries such as marketing strategies, processing of their business permits and other needs to be able to make this program sustainable and successful one. Ms Belleng also emphasized that the success of this program will serve as an indicator for the next batches of this program.
