TWO HUNDRED THIRTEEN Persons with Disabilities in Isabela City receive livelihood cash assistance through the special appropriation from the Local Government Unit this 2020.
Turnover Ceremony of the livelihood cash assistance checks was spearheaded by City Mayor Sitti Djalia A. Turabin-Hataman at the Sakayan Conference Hall, Office of the City Mayor, Wednesday, December 23, 2020.
City Social Welfare and Development Officer Emma Gurrea said a total of 213 beneficiaries from all 45 barangays in the city are this year’s recipient of the livelihood cash assistance program. Said assistance were apportioned from the one percent special appropriation for the vulnerable sectors of the City Government for fiscal year 2020 in the amount of 1,065,000.00.
Each beneficiary shall receive 5,000 pesos of livelihood cash assistance that will augment and help them start anew with their individual small businesses.
In her short message, Mayor Hataman emphasized the value of the assistance from the City Government and reminded beneficiaries to be smart in spending the given aid for them to be able to start small investments or businesses to improve their current living conditions.
In the previous week, 180 elderlies received livelihood cash assistance in the amount of 10,000 pesos each.
